Neelima Denduluri, M.D.

Dr. Neelima Denduluri completed her Hematology/Oncology fellowship at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland, where she served as Chief Fellow.  She received her Doctorate of Medicine at Louisiana State University Medical Center and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C.  She is board certified in Medical Oncology, Hematology and Internal Medicine.  Dr. Denduluri has always been involved in teaching at Georgetown, the National Naval Medical Center and National Cancer Institute. 

In addition to her passion for providing compassionate and dedicated care for her patients, Dr. Denduluri enjoys watching professional tennis, following politics, reading, traveling, and cooking in her spare time. 

Dr. Denduluri has been an active participant in many clinical trials and developed particular interests in the following areas:

  • Targeted Therapies in Breast Cancer, and
  • Development of new drugs for breast cancer

During Dr. Denduluri’s time at the NIH, she served as a protocol chair and associate investigator on many trials. Dr. Denduluri has also published multiple articles and abstracts that have been in ASCO Educational Books, the Journal of Clinical Oncology and Clinical Breast Cancer among others.  Her work has been presented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium.

Dr. Denduluri was awarded the the Exemplar of Desirable Attitudes of the Physician Toward His Patients upon graduation for Louisiana State University during her training.
