Thomas Butler, M.D.

A graduate of Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio, Dr. Butler received his doctorate from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio.  He completed an internship at Rhode Island Hospital and was a Research Associate at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland.  His Medical Oncology Fellowship and Residency were completed at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C.

During his years of practicing in the community setting, Dr. Butler has held academic affiliations with Georgetown University School of Medicine and is a Clinical Professor of Medicine teaching Hematology and Oncology.  He has conducted research in the fields of Breast, Lung and Renal Cell Carcinomas.

Dr. Butler is board certified in Medical Oncology and Internal Medicine.  He holds memberships with the American Society of Hematology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Association for Cancer Research and is a fellow of the American College of Physicians.
