A graduate from the University of Michigan, Dr. Meister received his medical degree from Ohio State University College of Medicine, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.  He completed his Internship, Residency and Hematology Fellowship at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C.  Continuing his training, he completed his Oncology Fellowship at the National Cancer Institute, Medical Oncology Branch of Washington Veterans Administration Hospital.  He is board certified in Medical Oncology, Hematology and Internal Medicine.

Serving as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Georgetown University Medical Center, Dr. Meister is a member of several professional organizations including the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology.
