A graduate of the University of California, Dr. Kula received her doctorate of medicine from George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C.  She completed her medical internship, residency and hematology/oncology fellowship at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.  She is board certified in Medical Oncology, Hematology and Internal Medicine.
